Funny Craig

Craig and I were listening to the radio today and they were talking about unusual phobias. One of the phobias was the irrational fear women have of men (Androphobia). Well, I turned to Craig and asked what it would be called if men had an irrational fear of other men. Without missing a beat Craig responded with "it's called homophobia". LOL. I love my husband!

KC Update

So KC has learned to give amazing hugs. It is so cute. He flings his arms around you and waits for you to start kissing him. He does it over and over again.
Yesterday was the first day he did it and he got so excited that after the first few hugs he couldn't control his excitement, so he bit me. Craig says he takes after me in that way. When he gets overly excited he lashes out with biting or scratching. It's like he can't contain the energy anymore so he has to release it through violence.
Last night he also slept in his big boy bed for the first time. He didn't sleep very long, Craig forgot to put his cup in the bed with him, but it is a start.

Possible Baby Names

These are the names we are mulling through. We are not asking for opinions or critics, we just know that people wanted to know what names we were thinking of. These are not in any order of preference, and we really haven't decided on a specific name for her yet. This is just an FYI list that, I must warn you, keeps changing.

DC Zoo and KC

I finally found the camera with the DC Zoo pix on them and also found some cute pix of KC. Without further ado....Just as a warning, I can't figure out how to put text between the pix, so here is my monologue now. There is a pic of KC with a strainer on his head. I have a pic like that of me as a little kid, so I love the pic. There are some closeups of KC with his tired eyes. I love it. Then there are pix of the DC Zoo with a monkey that they let roam around above head on ropes, other monkeys, and lions.

Zoo

Craig, KC, and I went to the Zoo on Saturday. It was the first time that KC really interacted with the animals. Here are some of the great pix.

This lizard made me sing "If I'm gonna eat somebody, it might as well be you". It is a song from Furngully, for those of you who don't know.

The Boys Are Back In Town

Well, the boys are back (hurray) and currently sleeping. They traveled for 12 hours straight and are taking a well deserved nap. I stole Craig's phone so I could upload images of their trip. We went to the zoo before the trip started, but those pix are on the digital camera, that Craig somehow hid, so I will upload them later.

Without further ado, here are the pix from Craig's phone:

This is KC helping daddy fit all his clothes into the suitcase. What a helpful boy, hehehe.
After all that helpfulness he was pretty tired on the way up to the airport.
Craig and KC's first stop in MN was to my sister Charity's, house. Here he is with one of his favorite toys..... balls!! I guess he could not choose which one to play with, so he took them both.
KC in his other favorite toy, a car, with his cousins Benjamin and Christopher.
I guess he wouldn't sleep in the play pin for the first night, so he slept on the couch with Daddy.
Grandma has a play room, kid size, under the stairs. KC loved the pint size room of wonderment.
Here he is with his cousin Zoe. He was trying to get her attention, but she wasn't going for it.
I guess Craig was bored. I found this pic and had to add it in!
Here is Jeremy's little Phoebe. You can't tell here, but she looks like her mommy and has daddy's flaming red/orange hair.
Craig has been looking for a MN Twins hat for KC, he finally found one. Poor KC!

Now KC matches Daddy.
Here is Craig's oldest sisters, Tammy's, family.
This is Lee's family.
And David's family.

I'm glad the boys are back. I missed them a ton.
I guess there isn't much left to say. I'll get the zoo pix up as soon as Craig wakes up, if he ever does!
Later!

Out of town blues

So the boys went out of town this week. It was a trip to visit family, see Jeremy (Craig's brother) graduate with a Doctorate, and for his parents anniversary. Craig was excited to show off KC to his siblings, and see the whole family together. Unfortunately BJ, Craig's youngest brother, left town before Craig got there.

Getting the boys out turned out to be a lot of trouble. They were supposed to fly out of a local airport, 45 min away, by the flight ended up being canceled after a 5 hour delay. I had to go pick them up at the airport and then drive to DC where they could get a flight out the next day.

Because I had an extra morning with the boys we decided to go see the Zoo. I will post pictures once I get the camera back from Craig.

KC has been loving the vacation. He adores attention and he is getting his fill of it. A lot of Craig's family have pets and KC loves all animals. He is so excited with all the new stuff and attention that he hasn't been taking naps well. It doesn't bode well for when the boys get home.

Craig has been loving the time away from work and, I dare say, me. I think he loves the one on one time with KC and the time he gets to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. He doesn't have to worry about running around getting me food that I am craving (hehehe). He loves seeing his family and catching up with everyone. He is not going to want to come home, I am afraid.

I had made up a whole big list of things I wanted to accomplish while the boys were gone. I have done very little of anything. The AC went out in the apartment and it has been extremely hot. I am normally hot blooded, and being prego hasn't helped the matter much. The house has been in the 80's all week and I am MELTING! I have come to find out that when you are hot you don't want to do much. I made it to the pool earlier today (we have a pool at our complex), and while it felt GREAT in the water, I now have a wonderful sun burn to add to my hot misery.

Anyway..... I miss my boys. Hope all is well with you! Have a good night.
