Halloween
So, this year it snowed the day before Halloween. It was freezing! Because of this we had to modify our kids costumes.
Quin in her new winter outfit on our way to the Ward Halloween party.
Quin was supposed to be a fairy, but we decided that wings would be too much glitter and glam for her first Halloween (plus that is what she was for her birthday) so she was either a ballerina, or a circus performer (depending on who asked or what they guessed she was).
Konrad was a "High-ya" according to him. AKA Ninja!
We stared out the party with the tutu I made for her under the outfit, but as you can see it pushed the skirt up too high, so we changed it to over the outfit.
Konrad got to decorate his own cupcake. As you can see, he loved it.
He ate all the frosting off of the top and gave me the rest of the cupcake.
Here the tutu is over the outfit.
She was tired and rubbing her eyes, but it looks like she is trying to imitate a ballerina.
She loved holding the weapon. We are in for trouble with that one.
This is the best picture we have of them together, not very good, but hey, they are little,
Konrad carving his pumpkin. He refused to touch the insides of the pumpkin, but he was willing to scoop it out with the spoon.
Though he did little work, he was happy to claim it as his own. He was so proud of it, it currently resides in a place of honor in his room..... on his bean bag chair.
Quin carving pumpkin. She loved the whole process... as well as the taste of the pumpkin. We had to keep taking it away from her.
Craig did 98% of the work on the pumpkins.
Quin proud of her pumpkin.
Here they are together with their pumpkins.
Trick or treating...... pretty sad. It was cold and dark, so we don't have any good pix. Quin didn't even dress up, it was too cold.
