What a great day!

Today started with an E-mail saying that the kids I watch will not be able to come until 12:30. Then they never showed. At 1 Craig called work and found out that the lady whose kids I watch called in sick- so no kids! I was kind of upset until Craig suggested that we go out of town! Wahoo! We went to Winchester (1 hour away) and had lunch at Olive Garden- yeah Soup, Salid and Bread sticks! Then we went to the Mall and went shopping! Now we are home and expecting a big storm to hit that is supposed to dump 4' of snow in two days (well.... we will see) so we are getting some movies and soup and bunkering down for the weekend. How fun is that?! Hope you are having a great weekend yourself!

Where is the Boogie? Where is KC?

KC hates having his boogies wiped off. This morning Craig was Add Videochasing after KC trying to extract a large boogie out of KC's nose. After several failed attempts Craig decided to just lunge at KC with a Boogie Wipe (yes the actual brand name- I found it at Walmart and just had to have it). So Craig lunges and swipes! But what happened to the boogie? Not in KC's nose..... not on the Boogie Wipe! Where could it be? Craig proceeded to crawl around looking for the boogie on the ground, on KC, and finally found it..... on his own hand!! Gross!

Then Craig starts chasing KC around saying "I'm gonna get you! I'm gonna get you!" KC loves it and starts squealing and running away from Craig. KC runs straight for me and runs under my legs and blanket. Only his head is covered and his whole body is outside, but he thinks he is hiding from Daddy! How funny!

Cleaning off the plate

KC not only likes to eat............ he cleans off his plate!

Boring with a chance of snow

So, the reason I have not written for a while is because I haven't had much to write about. Life just goes on like it always does.

KC is getting funnier and funnier as he finds out what makes US laugh and does it over and over again. Yesterday he refused to get a diaper on and ran (literally) around the house naked for about 15 min before we could get a diaper on him. It was so funny.

He is getting big into forts and loves to crawl under them and play peek-a-boo with the blanket.
He has also learned that it is funny to pull his pants down a little so that his diaper is showing. It reminds me of the boys with their boxers hanging out of their pants, but it makes us laugh. He still has a little Homie in him!
Craig has three days off in a row, so now that it is snowing we might FINALLY use the sled he made me buy the week before Christmas that has yet to have it's maiden voyage. The baby is loving having Daddy home so much that Craig has yet to sleep with me the past two nights. KC insists on only sleeping in Daddy's arms or he screams (and we fear he will wake the neighbors) so Daddy relents and sleeps on the couch with him. I am NOT happy about it.

I, like so many around here, are a little under the weather. Congestion and lack of bed companion, has left me with little sleep at night. I am tired and sick of having my nose stuffed up all the time.

Craig and I have been called as co-chairs of the ward activity committee. Our first activity was supposed to be tonight, but since there is snow on the ground it has been postponed until next week. Bummer!

That is about all! Talk to Ya'll later!

Birthday Walk

Happy Birthday Konrad!

Today was KC's first Birthday!!! His party was a Monster theme and it was a hit! Here are a billion pix of the party for your enjoyment. There are too many to write comments about, but I'm pretty sure that they are self explanatory.

Catching Up

So, I have been a little delinquent with my blog.

New Years was.... interesting. It was supposed to be low key and a family night, but as always, that didn't happen. I got a phone call at 6pm from an old co-worker saying she got her hair butchered and needed help! She came over and immediately locked her keys in the car. I fixed her hair, but she was a the house for several hours before her car got opened (thanks to our AAA membership). Craig and I went to bed after she left and all in all, it wasn't too bad.

My Birthday was.... also interesting. Craig got me an assortment of "interesting" gifts. A bundle of lilies (LOVE it!), a really funny card (he is sooo good at picking cards that make me laugh), a packet of mini gel pens (? I guess he thinks I like pens A LOT), a book of Americas Next Top Model paper dolls (? He thought I would like it ?), an assortment of Valentines stuff (a heart pillow, a felt rose with wire in the stem, and a candy necklace. Yeah, I don't get it either). Needless to say, I had very little to say. Just questioning looks. Turns out he thought all the items would be funny, so he gave them to me as a joke.

I did get to go to Richmond with Craig two days after my Birthday. My friend wanted to watch KC so it was just Craig and I for a while. Craig had a work meeting to go to in Richmond (hence the trip) so I had 3 hours to do whatever I wanted. I contacted a friend that had moved out there and her fiancée and I hung out and shopped. Craig and I went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch (yum!). There were some bumps in the road (me picking up Craig an hour later than what he wanted. OOPS! And a snowstorm on the way home), but all in all it was a GREAT day!

I am now getting ready for KC's birthday party, and I am so excited! See y'all later!
