Frustration!!!
I am sooo frustrated today! I understand that I am a control freak when it comes to my life, and it frustrates me to "let go" of things. I am frustrated about how hard it is for Craig to find a job. I feel like my whole life is on hold and we are just waiting for "something" to happen. I know that it will all turn out alright in the end, it is just hard to let go of now and trust in the future. I'm working on it, but it is so dang hard!!!!!!

6 months of Konrad
Can you believe that my baby is 6 months old? I can't! He is progressing so quickly it is amazing to me. Here is a quick overview for those of you not as obsessed with my child as I am!

KC is ready to leave the NICU at the hospital and go home since he has reached the 5lb mark and is eating out of the bottle. He is now around 17" long and by the 23rd he weighs 6lbs 8oz!!
At two months KC is already 8lbs 10oz and 19 3/4" long. He is having eating and sleeping problems and we find out he has acid reflux. Because of that he sleeps on his stomach and gets rice cereal in his bottle. He looks just like his daddy & is such a daddy's boy!
Grandma bought him a walker and KC loves being able to stand up and look at people. He is now 23" tall and weighs 14lbs!!! He is beginning to become talkative and LOVES being the center of attention. He has started eating cereal and is loving "big boy" food.

Konrad has learned how to give kisses (among other things). He is adorable and completely stubborn and opinionated. He is able to move around in the walker with the help of a booster under his feet and he loves the freedom it provides! He is desperately wanting the freedom of moving on his own. Heaven help us when he begins to crawl!!! He is able to roll from his stomach to his back, but demands we roll him back over. He still hates being on his back!

KC loves to smile and make people laugh. He is rolling all over the place and very close to being able to crawl. He recently found it feet and it is soooo cute! He says 'hi' sometimes and loves putting anything and everything into his mouth. He is finally "on the chart" for all of his measurements. He is 16lbs 10oz (25%) and is 25" long (5%). He has such a cute personality when he is happy and can be a monster when he is not.
Birth
Konrad Cedric "KC" Deetz was born on January 16, 2009 two months early. He weighed 3lbs 7oz and was (about) 15" long.

My Crazy Funny Father-in-law
My father-in-law (Craigs Dad aka Crazy Deetz) is so funny!
Today Craig called his Dad to wish him a Happy 66th Birthday and when Craig asked him how he felt being 66 his dad said:
"If you go outside and find a tree that is 66 years old and look at the bark of that tree- that is how I feel and look."

Anniversary, Fathers Day & Babies Galore!
Well.... it has been a while since I have updated this blog-o-mine and alot has come to pass since the last posting.
Craig and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary by getting KC's first babysitter at someone elses house!!! I was really worried since he didn't do to well when we did a practice run and had dinner at their house (a friend and co-worker's house). It is a couple with whom Craig works with the dad, Jim, and I used to work with the wife, Kara. They have three kids (two are twins and were preemies) so I figured they knew what they were in for when they agreed to watch KC. During the practice run KC proceeded to cry at the top of his lungs for 3 hours!! Their kids were being loud, and Konrad was used to only being with me and Daddy, so he isn't used to a lot of noise. The good thing we got out of the whole thing was that KC slept through the night when we got home (9 hours actually). However, for our anniversary Konrad did wonderfully! We got him nice and tired (with a bath) and waited till we got to their house to feed him his bottle. He fell asleep pretty quickly for them and slept till we got home! Yeah!!! Craig and I went to a ward 50's dance (where only 5 couples showed up and hardly anyone danced, much to Craig's delight), and then went to dinner at Red Lobster! Craig bought me red roses and a naughty card (he picks out the best cards!!!). It was wonderful!
For Fathers Day our ward provided a pancake breakfast before church and Craig's gift was the gift of Gluttony! Since we have had to tighten the purse strings Craig has had to go without some of his favorite things........... so he got them for Fathers Day! He got 4 packages of Reece's Peanut Butter Cups, 2 cases of IBC Root Beer, Reece's Ice Cream & Crunch topping, 2 Pizzas, Brownies & I made him his favorite dinner of spaghetti with lots of meat in the sauce. He enjoyed his day and announced that he would like Fathers Day to last all month!
Good News! Craig's side of the family is procreating like crazy! Tammi & Phil had her girl, Jeremy & Jess are prego with a girl, BJ & Brandi is going to have a girl & David & Bandi announced they are prego with twins! Good luck Mom & Dad Deetz! You get 6 new grand babies this year!!!
